This is my son Charlie, last August. He was loading up his pickup with stuff to take to college. I caught him in this moment, with a lump in my throat and a few tears. It was if he had stopped for a moment to think about where he was going and where he had been. Remembering his childhood...all those trips up and down that long gravel driveway on a Big Wheel, a bicycle, a go-cart, then finally his truck. All the good times he had playing with his brother and sisters and loads of cousins. And maybe even the tree he hit with my car at the tender age of 4! when he wanted to go see his Mawmaw, got in and knocked it out of gear!! I'm one of those rare Mama's that cherish the bad stuff as much as I do the good......
